Light String Bare Wire

Our Light String Bare Wire is sold in 3-foot sections.  Add more quantity to get the length you need.  For example:  if you desire 27-feet then order a quantity of 9.

This wire is 18-AWG (American Wire Gauge) and is designed to be used with our C7 or C9 light sockets and plug ends.

The advantage of making your own light strings from scratch is the added flexibility to change the length between luminaries.  Otherwise.. we offer pre-cut light strings for 6 and 12 sockets, and also light string with sockets already on them at 3-foot separations and you can determine your own length.

Making your own light string from scratch is a great choice if you desire to use luminaries over a long length and so desire to spread the luminaries out at a farther distance.  Common reasons for this including placing luminaries around a pond or lake, or along a property line of a large ranch. 

On longer distances where the luminaries will be viewed from a further distance, it looks great to spread out luminaries more than 3-feet apart.  A common distance between luminaries is 10-feet when viewing a long distance away.
