FLIC Luminaries Shipping Policy
FLIC Luminaries LLC has a philosophy of trying to find the most cost-effective shipping methods for our customers. Usually, we partially sudsidize the cost of shipping in order to reduce the cost of shipping to our customers. The cost of shipping is high because of the size of our boxes.
For online standard retail customers, we offer both UPS and USPS as our shipping carriers whenever possible. Some items are limited to a single carrier due to size and weight restrictions, especially if we do not have appropriate shipping containers for certain carriers.
For larger shipments, we have the possibility of using freight shipping companies for pallet orders.
Customer Shipping Accounts
Under certain conditions, we can use specific customer shipping accounts as negotiated with the customer.
Basic Insurance Coverage
Under typical shipping situations, we do not extend insurance coverage on orders, unless specified (and paid for) by customer.
Under typical shipping situations, we send merchandise through trackable shipping and pass tracking numbers to the customer.
Specific Shipping Instructions
Customers desiring to apply specific shipping instructions must do so at the time of ordering and provide specific information with order. In most situations, those specified shipping instructions will be written on the shipping container (or containers).
No Handling Fees
It is not our policy to charge handling fees on any orders (or any hidden fees). In general use, we find this strategy to be questionable ethics.
Strive For Lowest Shipping Charges
It is our goal to provide our customers with the lowest possible shipping options. In most situations, we actually subsidize some of the cost of shipping to our customers in order to maintain customer satisfaction.
