I like the aroma these give off and I think they help a little bit with the mosquitoes. I save them and use them only when I use my luminaries for a party. When you store them make sure to put them in a ziploc air tight bag because you can still smell the citronella, even when the candles aren't lit.

I've used the plain white candles from FLIC and they worked great. This year, I'll be using my luminaries in the summer for a party and hope the citronella candles keep the mosquitoes away!
