Our fundraising luminary kits have become popular with schools, sports teams, and other organizations especially geared towards children. Typically, the luminaries are purchased and young people decorate them and either a donation amount is asked from the parents for their heirloom custom-decorated light from their child, or an auction is held where (basically) the parents bid the purchase price and win the auction prize.
LUMINARY: This is a specially-manufactured luminary that has a whiting opaque additive in the polymer making it a perfect surface for receiving color from permanent markers. This luminary also qualifies for our 10-Year Luminary Warranty!
SIZE & LENGTH: Each luminary lantern is 9-inches tall, 6-inches wide and 4-inches deep.

Creative Option!
This was a very creative option for our fundraising event. We had permanent markers of all colors for our big decorating evening and every single participant had fun and took home a keepsake mood light! We will continue this event next year! Thanks for offering such a great concept!
Worked around Covid
We didn't know what to expect. This was our first attempt at fundraising during Covid. We couldn't bring our students together to make these, so it took a little extra effort getting the luminaries and art supplies to each student to make from home. But we did it and we loved the results! I'm very proud of my students and the imaginative designs they made with their luminaries! I hope next year we can complete this project in our classroom so supplies are all available and the students can share ideas and motivation. This is definitely the most unique and enjoyed fundraising project we have attempted. We raised lots of funds and many of the kids and parents want to do another one before the end of the school year! I learned that I need to offer multiple luminaries for each family because both parents and grandparents want this keepsake. I definitely give two thumbs up for this product!
So Much Fun!
We had so much fun running our first fundraising auction with these luminaries! Not only did the staff have fun, our students and parents enjoyed it and gave us many compliments. We made just over $1000 profit for our class of 35 students. Because of Covid we did this through zoom, and that meant breaking our groups into several zoom sessions. Worked really well so we didn't tie up parents for a long auction. I know we will be refining this method of fundraising and will continue with this luminary fundraiser.
