For Electric Light Strings:

1. Remove the luminarias from the reusable shipping/storage carton. To un-stack or "de-nest" the luminarias it is easiest to set them on a flat surface, clamp the bottom luminary between your feet and gently pull up on the top luminary.

2. Attach the light string to each luminary.

  • Remove the light string from the box and straighten out the cord.
  • Hold the socket underneath a luminary so that the socket is aligned with the bulb hole in the luminary. Put the light bulb base through the bulb hole and then screw the bulb into the socket.
  • Repeat for each luminary.
  • When setting out the luminarias run the wire in the wire channel under each luminary. Note: duct taping the wire into the wire channel with two small pieces of duct tape will make placement of the luminary easier on flat surfaces such a sidewalks, etc.

  • Sand, gravel, or kitty litter - use 1 1/2 cups or up to the level of the candle base. -OR-
